Stuttering after downloading new driver nvidia

27 Aug 2019 New Game Ready Driver isn't so ready after all? the opposite of the latter, with major drops and stuttering observed on some online forums.

In the list of downloads where 2 drivers, the latest one and one which i think while surfing google i came across a random post about nvidia  This feature is not available right now. Please try again later.

After barely 15 mins of gameplay, I'm experiencing severe fps drops and then go here and download and install updated Nvidia drivers.

I am experiencing major frame stuttering at all levels of graphical options. I have narrowed this down to DX12 being enabled. Does anyone else have this issue? i have been in contact twice with support and their troubleshoot hasnt worked and so it must be a bug with the game. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M Display Memory: 12115 MB Dedicated Memory: 3981 MB Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) It all runs on a 15" Alienware with 512SSD. So its hardly the system, just me not updating my drivers. It works fine now, after installing Nvidia Experience, and updating. Windows 10 Stuttering/Lagging with Graphical Glitches I will be checking if any new drivers are present for the same. Will post updates later. After installing my GPU driver I noticed my desktop background went fully black. I moused over my icons and they were all highlited. Eventually after I clicked it went away. ***UPDATE 5 (8/20)*** For people having more stuttering once installing the new Nvidia driver I've heard a lot of people having success by turning off shader cache : First right click on your desktop Then, click on Nvidia control panel (I'm not sure if AMD users have a shader cache option, if so try it and see if it helps you guys) I have a strong hunch that there's some conflict between Nvidia HD Audio and Realtek HD Audio drivers. Disabling one or both of the drivers tends to get rid of the stuttering. Nvidia HD Audio driver reinstalls itself though. I've reinstalled my Nvidia drivers, cleaning out using the DDU and deselecting the audio drivers on installation. Download the Nvidia GeForce 398.82 WHQL driver as released by NVIDIA. The odd thing about your situation is that the HD Audio Driver seems to be re-installing itself every time you restart the system. i had experienced the stuttering, now mind you that my nvidia install was a fresh install on a fresh install of my OS and the stuttering wasn't immediate. infact it doesnt seem to affect new games i install

hi there. i had similar problems with my new DELL XPS 15 (9550). I had to disable the dedicated NVIDIA GTX 960M, because my screen always went black after 5 minutes. i installed all the new drivers (yes, also from the NVIDIA site), including the integrated Intel HD Graphics 530. My screen produces fine black lines in the lower half, which disappear after a second.

Anyone else has this issue? should I just install the previous driver? EDIT: Downloading 411.70 and check if the problem goes away.
